Change of Shift
by Jerome Snyder, Grace Goodrich (assistant)
This mural was created for the Post Office at the E. Caroline Street location. When the new post office was built, great care was taken to move the mural to its location in the lobby of the Leroy Street Post Office. When the factory scene was unveiled a great deal of controversy occurred, even though many people that lived in the village worked for General Motors. The community considered itself more of a farming community. As the years have past the mural has been accepted as a wonderful part of their artistic community. Painted in 1942 Medium: Tempura
Location 210 S Leroy St, Fenton Michigan, MI
